OK, all I can say is that the Drifter was a BIG mistake! The acidity of this meal completely overwhelmed the Drifter!
Acids:
- Lemon Juice
- Tomatos
- Balsamic
- Vineger
Freebird commented that the IRA was completely 'mellowed out' as well. I gave it a quick sip and agreed that the hops were preferred, but IRA's malt was too sweet for this meal.
Hindsight 20/20, we should have gone with the Workhorse IPA, or maybe cracked a 22oz bomber of Deschutes Hop Henge.
Remember: acidity equals hops - lots, and lots, of hops!
