Boston Mini Pub Crawl

Beer Luvvas,

I was able to have lunch at the Cambridge Brewing Company in the middle of MIT's campus after our business meeting North of Boston this morning.

The pic above shows their Tall Tale Pale on the left and their Seasonal Spring Training IPA on the right. The Pale was much maltier (heftier) than what I expected for a pale ale. The IPA was reminiscent of a solid NW Pale. I'm glad to see that the NW hop influence has reached the East Coast!

I'm fairly sure that my colleague and I dropped the IQ of the patronage @ CBC by at least 5-10 points. But we were convinced that we could hold our own in a Two Person Boat Race!

After lunch, we drove around the North End of Boston - challenging with all the one way streets - until we found Paul Revere's house (below). Pretty sure that the original cobblestones/bricks are still out front. Hopefully we didn't seriously damage the suspension on our rental Pontiac Vibe.

Now I'm sitting at the Harpoon Tap Room @ Logan Airport sipping on my second Harpoon IPA (eat your heart out MCO!), catching up on work for the man, watching some NCAA first round games - GO UW DAWGS!, and updating this post.
Prost to Boston! The birth place of our great United States of America (Tea Party and all)!
