Unfortunately, the Vegas Wedding Weekend did not leave much time for scouring The Strip for hops and barley destinations. However I can report a couple items:
- The Pub @ Monte Carlo is back open for business. Saw a billboard advertising live music, and they now have over 50 beers on tap!
- I need to add Nine Fine Irishmen @ NYNY to my list of top places to get beer in Vegas. It's a very lively Irish Pub, with a great Guinness pour. And they also have Murphy's Irish Red on tap - not available at many US Irish pubs.
- Found a little taste of the Pacific NW on tap @ Stripburger - a great lunch spot in the Fashion Square Mall on the corner of the strip directly across from The Wynn Casino, and approximately on the former Frontier Casino where my college buddies and I spent way to many dollars on $1 Blackjack and "free" Bacardi Cokes in our younger days. Stripburger was pouring Pyramid Haywire Hef, with the appropriate orange wedge, rather than lemon.
The wedding was phenomenal, and the poker tables were loose (@ the Wynn). So in all it was a great, although relatively barley free, weekend.
Prost to Las Vegas! Prost to Nine Fine Irishmen!
