I have to rant. Watching the drivel interviews that NBC considers 'a positive contribution to their Olympic coverage,' and the second period of the Canadian women's hockey team's demolition of Slovakia (7-0 @ the end of the first period) has got to be the worst coverage of a sporting event ever!
It's even worse than the CBS March Madness debacle where the #1 v. #16 game gets prominent display with strategic 'cut ins' to show the great #7 v. #8 game that audiences outside the home states of each participating team.
Luckily, I can drown my Olympic sorrows in one of many worthy hops and barley beverages. Sports fans, it's time for another round. Maybe I can drink Bob Costas interviews into what I would consider good TV.
Update: the Candian women are up 17-0 in the 3rd period, and NBC is STILL SHOWING THE GAME! Unbelievable.
