Beer Luvvas,
How can Portland become a bigger and better Beer-tropolis? Some would argue it can't, but the folks @ The Green Dragon have an idea....
August 28 - 29, 2010
Mini Beer Fest Portland, OR
On August 28th & 29th, the city of Portland will close down SE 9th Street between Belmont and Yamhill for the 2nd Annual Mini Beer Fest. The event will feature 30+ independent Oregon-based breweries that brew no-more-than 1,000 barrels per year, providing festival goers with exciting, hard-to-find beers. Each brewer will bring 2 different styles of beer with them to pour during the Mini Beer Fest. Attendees will be able to take their favorite beers home with them in bottles, growlers and kegs to go. If the beer is not enough to keep cool, tours of the Green Dragon’s 1,040 square foot, glow-in-the-dark cooler will be held hourly. Other activities include a Dog Wash, Washers Tournament, Free Pinball and Free Shuffleboard. Mini Beer Fest is 100% dog-friendly and owners are encouraged to bring their companions with them.
Prost to The Green Dragon & Mini Beer Fest!

Awesome, that almost sounds better to come down for than the Oregon Brewers Fest.
