Well, SQHub and I polished off the last of my Hair of the Dog Cherry Adam and Fred -both From Wood. Assuming his 04 Magnum of Doggie Claws would fetch ~$50, we polished off close to $75 worth of rare HoD beer this weekend! Nice!
Freebird has never been a big barelywine fan. Luckily, SQHub had some Beer Delivered as part of his grocery order through Amazon Fresh - an excellent new home grocery delivery service from (duh) Amazon.com. The beer list that SQHub had on hand included: Rogue Dead Guy, Bridgeport IPA, New Belgium Fat Tire, Stone Oaked Aged Arrogant Bastard, and Lagunitas CENSORED Copper Ale. This program is currently test marketing in Seattle....PLEASE COME TO PORTLAND!!! Those of you who live in Seattle, give it a go. Amazon Fresh Rocks!
Freebird new that Lagunitas CENSORED was on the list of Freebird Favs, but what was new and unexpected was the Maritime Imperial Pale Ale that John and Michelle brought over the other day. Described on the website as a 'classic India Pale,' this beer is deceptively light in color but the robust floral tang comes shining through. Although, after ample Doggie Claws hits it (like everything else) comes off a little soft. Good thing that Freebird kept her pallet clean.
Well, another Seattle weekend is pretty much shot-to-shit. A good time was had by all!
