Freebird and I capped a relaxing weekend @ the Oregon Coast with an early dinner @ The Pelican Pub and Brewery in Pacific City.
I did know that there were ocean views from the patio, but I didn't know that it was walking distance from one of the best surfing locales on the Oregon Coast. Check out this footage of a surfer rescue from the rip tide earlier that afternoon (video link no longer active).
I enjoyed their Tsunami Stout (in honor of April: Tsunami Awareness Month) along with their Green Chile Cuban - excellent! Freebird had their Red (duh), and a pesto clam linguine. She was kind enough to give me tasters of both, and both were quite tasty!
According to the advertisement above the urinal, today is their lucky 13th Birthday, and they are celebrating w/a bunch of specials this afternoon/evening. If you find yourself in the area, head out, catch a wave, and enjoy a couple pints from an excellent Oregon brewer!
