Cherry Adam from the Wood

Beer Luvvas,

This weekend was a HEAVY beer consumption weekend.... So I'll have multiple posts coming in the next few days...

First up: Cherry Adam from the Wood! This is one of the uber-rare beers that I picked up from the Hair of the Dog Dock Sale last month. So unfortunate that I could only buy 2. But @ $10 or $12 for 12oz (I can't remember which bottles were 10/12)...it's not like I was going to pick up a case.

At first I was very nervous that the bottle was bad...very little carbonation created near zero head. But after the first sip of the sweet warmth of this gem of a barley wine, I was no longer in fear of an expensive beer going down the drain.

Needless to say, although I enjoyed the Pinot Noir wine tasting that the ladies set up to kick off this evening of way too much drink, I would have preferred a tasting of multiple HoD aged ales (Fred from the Wood) and barley wines (Cherry Adam from the Wood & Doggy Claws). Although in a sense I was able to experience both!

Prost to Hair of the Dog Cherry Adam from the Wood! Keep raising the bar!

For whatever reason, China is NOT blocking your site today so I thought I'd leave a post.

Prost to Home Leave coming soon. There is not a single hop flower in all of China.
