Best Wolf Creek Brew Pub

Beer luvvas,

I am waiting for my flight home in Durango La Plata airport after an excellent ski weekend at Wolf Creek outside Pagosa Springs, CO.

3 days of cold, clear sunshine! The only thing that would have been better was if it didn't stop snowing 3 days before we arrived.

After our first day of skiing, we had to find a brewpub to quench the thirst of a day pounding the slopes. Luckily, the house we rented was only 3 miles from the sole brewer in town. Pagosa Brewing was a great pub! Their 14 taps ranged from stout to dobblebock to pale to double IPA.

I enjoied the stout: chocolate and coffe; and the barley wine: smoothe almost to a fault with excellent malt aromas captured perfectly in the brandy snifter in which it was served.

G's Dad quaffed the IPA "exquisite" and the ESB "very tasty.". Freebird's Father also draught the IPA "nice hops" and the pale "crisp and refreshing."

I name Pagosa Brewing the best brewpub @ Wolf Creek, not because it's the only brewpub, but because it's a great brewpub!

Prost to Wolf Creek and Pagosa Brewing!
