Best Place to Get Beer in Oaktown!

My PM took the team out for beers & dinner tonight, and I experienced The Englander for the first time. I was excited by the reviews on The Beer Mapper. But I had no idea that the taplist went beyond British Brews!

I started the evening with a 1/2 Liter (traditional glasses for appropriate beer types!) of Old Rasputin ON NITRO! It doesn't get much better than that! My coworkers went the gambit from Blackthorn Dry Fermented Cider, to Guinness, to Scrimshaw Pilsner & Trumer Pils.

I followed up Rasputin with Anderson Valley's Boont Amber because they were out of the Hop Ottin'. And since I was driving, I was unable to quaff Pliney The Elder; Fuller's ESB or IPA or the London Porter. And soooo much more!

The food was pub-grubbin! Good wings apps, and my Monte Cristo Chicken Avocado Club (side 'o chilli) was superb!

Needless to say, I'm coming back to Hayward, CA for the next couple weeks and I plan to hit The Englander more than once!
