I will miss BevMo!

Beer Luvvas,

After my 3 years in Phoenix, I have found a few good spots to grab a couple pints; and a few places that carry some very rare bottles. But nothing that I couldn't get (and will be able to again) in Portland - with one exception.

BevMo!

Yes boys and girls, this California Chain is inconveniently located for those in the Pacific Northwest. Why will I miss it? Well, they have a very consistent selection that never disappoints, and frequently surprises with some new gem (this trip Breck Small Batch 471 ESB and Green Flash Hop Head Red).

In addition to my beer addiction, Freebird and I also have quite the wine habit. And BevMo! is one of our best options for picking up a few of our favs for a few less Greenbacks than the wine shoppes we tend to frequent for our 'rare finds' (aka waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much per bottle).

Does anyone know of any BevMo! plans for the great state o' Oregon? I'd bet that the OLCC liquor laws makes the BevMo! model challenging.

Down to the last few weeks.

Prost to moving back home!

Dude, I have two words for you: John's Market. You'll forget BevMo ever existed.

If you're settling on the eastside, Belmont Station will help ease your pain.

I've seen Hop Head Red in two grocery stores near my house. So fear not!

Steve & I now drive to California once each year and hit BevMo & Costco and load the back of the van! Start your shopping list.
