First Day Back in Beervana: Henry's Happy Hour

Beer Luvvas,

I'm ba-ack! That's right I'm back in Beervana and I didn't let my first afternoon go to waste. After spending most of the day upgrading my wardrobe for my new job, I walked into Henry's 12th St. Tavern (Portland's #1 Beer Location!) just in time for their Happy Hour (3-6pm weekdays).

I enjoyed two great beers: Double Mountain's IRA (India Red Ale) and Ninkasi's Believer Double Red Ale. Both beers were quite distinctive and were great options for my first two beers back in Beervana!

However the surprise was Henry's Happy Hour Menu. My $2 Caesar Salad was almost large enough for a full meal, and the rest of the menu also looked great - and large portions! I'll definitely be back!

I closed the day by getting my haircut @ Hair M - which should be an honorary best place to get beer because it's the only "men's salon" that I'm aware of where you can get free tap beer while you wait! I had a Broken Halo. MMMMMmmmm. Delicious!

Prost to being back in Portland! It's raining, but it's better than 110+ degree sunshine!

So, good to have you back... where did you end up and what are you doing?

ASG-

Thanks for the Pub Crawl props.

I thought you should know that Mrs. MCO and I found some good beers in NY.

Two winners were the CascaZilla red IPA from Ithaca Brewing and Southern Tier IPA. Both were excellent.

On the downside, Victory Hop Devil was nowhere to be found...
