InBev Buying BUD: What About Weis & Errrr?

There's been plenty blogged about InBev's upcoming purchase of Anheuser-Busch. I'm not going to comment on the impact to the industry, but I'd like to address some of the nationalist issues that have been raised regarding the potential purchase of "an American Icon" by a foreign competitor.

C'mon! If BUD is an American Icon, I'm moving to Canada! "Oh, Canada. My home and native land!"

As long as InBev continues to use the American Ad Agencies that brought us the Bud Bowls, the 3 Frogs (Bud, Wies, Errr) and the latest "Dude!" campaign. Everything that is good about BUD in the world will be maintained.

Let's not waste any Rah, Rah, Rah, America is Great on such a poor catalog of products, and a poorly run company. BUD deserves everything it gets from InBev!

Prost to InBev! Dude! Keep the marketing, ditch the product.
