Freebird's Girl's Weekend - her answer to my Seattle weekend with SQHub over Memorial Day - was spent in Napa Valley tasting all that is great about Napa: food, wine, and beer! Yes friends and neighbors, my wife spent a weekend in Wine Country with "The Girls" and txt'd me about a great beer find! This is one of the many reasons why I love my wife, and need to get off my arse about our upcoming 3rd Wedding Anniversary.
The find: Fat Weasel Ale from Steinhaus Brewing in Paseo Robles, CA. Freebird describes Fat Weasel as, "The perfect ale, even if the cashier at Trader Joe's says it's too hoppy." In fact, she thought it was so good she had to take a video from the road and send it along....Note that my wife has been known to swear like a sailor; watch at your own risk.
Wow! Freebird used to think of hops as the ingredient that gives you "Bitter Beer Face." BeerAdvocate didn't have great things to say, but most reviews quoted "an easy beer to drink." Now that sounds more like my wife!
She comes home tomorrow morning. Yeah, for the pooch and I miss her!

Also, I watched the video with Freebird. Have you noticed that when women say "your little blank", they mean "your stupid blank that I hate"?
