Beer Luvvas,
Freebird and I had 'date night' after her return from Napa Valley and chose to have dinner at D Vine Bistro & Wine Bar - yes, she just spent 4 days in Wine Country and wanted more wine!
I however, was in the mood for beer (surprise! - not!). Although D Vine boasts a full bar, and requisite foo-foo liquor drinks, they do not have a single beer on tap! Luckily, they did have Stone Smoked Porter Bombers, and they had the AC cranked to the point where it was cool enough for Freebird to add another layer with sleeves, and I was able to enjoy this substantial quaff while peering through the looking glass at the near 105 degree temps outside!
Although Freebird's Cilantro-Pesto pasta with shrimp was, shall I say, devine; my beef medallion salad was not a) large enough, or b) flavorful enough for me to say that I'd pick D Vine over Red, White & Brew.
In fact, RWB's food is better, and better priced. They always have Bridgeport IPA & Breck Vanilla Porter on tap. And, their wine list, although smaller, is well rounded and again, better priced.
So, Prost to RWB! Avoid D Vine, unless you are going for an alcohol-free work-day lunch.
