Freebird surprised me again! This time she returned from Basha's with a sixer of Rogue Santa's Private Reserve - new in 12oz sixers this year. The best part?? She said that she found it in a grocery cart of "Holiday Beverages" marked down to $4! Yes, that's less than $1 per beer!
Given all the recent talk of the upcoming hop shortage and increase in beer prices we are expecting in 2008, this was an amazing gift indeed! Especially for a double-hopped beer including both Chinook and Centennial - the same hops that now goes for $50/lb. according to Papago brewer Ron.
Ah, what a fine quaff these 12oz have been!
