Below is this week's Best Damn Email of the Week. Period. The guest writer has summed up Happy Hour - a great occasion to quaff great brew - from the 20-something, single male point of view. Note to readers: Brown is the moniker of the regular BDEotWP author.
Enjoy, and find a good Happy Hour Brew tonight!
I’ve got a few confessions to make:
- Every Friday I stay glued to my computer in anticipation of Brown’s best damn e-mail of the week.
- Every time I hear a UPS commercial on TV asking me “What can Brown do for you?” I immediately yell out “TELL ME WHERE HAPPY HOUR IS!!!”
- When getting dressed on Friday I realize that I might be going to happy hour, where I might run into the girl of my dreams, which might turn into something long term, so I try to wear clean clothes that don’t look like they’ve been sitting in my dryer since Monday.
- I never plan anything for dinner on Friday because I know I’ll probably get full on half price appetizers at whatever establishment happy hour is at.
- I know where the half price appetizer happy hour specials are.
- In hoping that Brown selects me as a guest writer for the BDEMOTWP, I have a movie quote picked out by 9am Monday morning and sit in meetings the rest of the week wondering who in the room will guess it.
So now that I’ve got those little secrets off my chest, it’s time to move on to the meat of this glorious golden ticket to the weekend called the Best Damn E-Mail of the Week Period. To use the words of a newspaper reporter in the 19th century “Go west, Young Man! Go west!!” So we shall (women included) to the great “town” of Ahwatukee (I had to go online to get the correct spelling of that). The venue of choice is Rock Bottom. We’ll be upstairs shooting various things including, but not limited to, pool, darts, and drinks.
The quote (yes I’ve had this in mind since Monday);
“Well I guess it all started the first time I went through the second grade. I caught my reflection in a spoon while I was eating my cereal, and I remember thinking "wow, you're ridiculously good looking, maybe you could do that for a career."
NEED WHO IT’S BEING SPOKEN TO!!!!
Movie/character/actor.
Haha, I got you good!!!
