One Weekend; Two Brewpubs...

Good evening beer luvva's!!

Another weekend has almost past us by, but not without providing another opportunity for exploring the (fill in the blank) state of Arizona, for opportunities for good beer.

This weekend, the Mrs. and I went up to Flagstaff to hike the Grand Canyon - not all the way down, but down Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point; 6 miles down, and 6 more miles back out - afterwards, we enjoyed a hearty meal @ Beaver Street Brewing. Free Bird enjoyed the Red, while I quaffed the IPA & their R&R Stout - truly a great beer, and since it was Flag it was cool enough in the evening to enjoy a Stout!

The other brewpub we sampled was in Sedona, located in the Tlaquepaque shopping center - Oak Creek Brewing. Unfortunately, Oak Creek was not up to the standards that I hold for brewpubs. I tried their seasonal Imperial Porter - sub-par. Free Bird tasted the Amber since they had no red on the menu. And our buddy Taco sampled the Pale. The Pale was the most palatable of the bunch - bu-mmer!

In the end, more beer was sampled - which is good.

Prost to Beaver St.!!! Bring a Growler of R&R Stout home to your Mrs!!!
