Good Evening Beer Luvvas! - esp. those reading from the great state of Oregon.....

Today on hops&barleyblog my Google News feed on Beer highlighted this Businessweek article discussing state legislature efforts to raise the beer tax - not alcohol tax - in my home state of OR. What kind of anti-american activity is this???

The state of OR has many things going for it, however, it's tax structure is not one of them. Why should beer drinkers suffer another penalty to help ineffiicent legislators raise more revenue for a state on the high end of both property taxes and income taxes????

Grab a beer and email your representative that increasing the beer tax is not the right way to pay for state troopers!
