Dead Things deserve a Dead Guy Ale!

Good evening Beer Luvvas!

I'm enjoying Game 3 of the NHL Western Conference 1st Round Playoffs between Detroit and Calgary (Red Wings are up 2-0 in the series) and my mind kind of wandered.....

I married a Red Wings fan, prior to which I paid ZERO attention to NHL Hockey, but caught the occasional Portland Winterhawks game back in PDX. But now I'm officially a Red Wings fan as well - why not? Some argue it's like being a Yankee's fan in baseball, or a Redskins fan in football - cheering for the team purchased to win championships - but again I digress...

Prior to cheering for the Red Wings, I knew of them - as most non-Detroit fans do - as The Dead Things. Which then led my mind to one of my favorite beers: Dead Guy - from my recently annointed favorite brewery: Rogue. From Rogue's website.....

Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue's proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops. Dead Guy Ale is available in 22-ounce bottles, 12-ounce 6-pack, and on draft.

Although the Flames just took a 1-0 lead in tonight's game...

Cheers to fans of the Dead Things! Find yourself a Dead Guy Ale to enjoy during tonight's comeback - or the next round!!!

Brent - sucks to be an Avalanche fan this year, eh?
