Good morning beer luvvas!
Yes, I said morning. Taking a few days off work to meet w/the tax man, have the pool filter motor/pump replaced and then spend a few days w/the in-laws and our nephew @ the Grand Canyon!!
Last night definitely qualified as a binge-night as I quaffed many a brew. The first 2 were 22+oz Asahi's @ Yet Another Sushi Place (YASP) in the greater PHX area - Sakana Sushi & Grill in Ahwatukee. Their rolls don't compare w/SushiEye, but if you are a sashimi/nigiri fan - their fish is top quality and the pieces are large!
This post is less about the beer and more about the antics @ the end of dinner. Sports and sports analogies became the topic between myself, Free Bird & the Caggianos, and one of the ladies admitted to not understanding what a 'pick' was in basketball - which led to some disgrace @ a work team competition in the not too distant past....
This led to a demonstration on an empty sushi platter where Wasabi set a pick on Ginger 1 to enable Kale to move to it's left for an open shot @ the soy sauce saucer, but then when Ginger 2 (who was guarding Wasabi) switched on to Kale to stop the open shot, Wasabi excecuted the Pick and 'Philly' Roll to the Soy Saucer, received the pass from Kale and converted the dunk!
Mabye you had to be there. Maybe you had to have at least 2 22+oz SAK's. But we thought it wsa hilarious!
Cheers to drinking good beer and enjoying good friends!
And a prost to the Pick & Philly Roll, a new classic basketball/sushi play!
